WHAT ARE SEVENS?
Rugby sevens, also known as seven-a-side, is a variant of rugby in which teams are made up of seven players, instead of the usual 15, with shorter matches.

Our MS team is small in size but they play every minute of every game with all their BIG hearts!! We are so proud of this group of young men!!
Middle School is open to students in 5-8 grades.

WHAT IS SHOOT THE BOOT?
Shoot the Boot, in the Rutherford Rugby Club, refers to drinking water out of a rugby boot (a.k.a. cleats) for scoring a first try.
A try is a way of scoring points in rugby. A try is scored by grounding the ball in the opposition's in-goal area (on or behind the goal line).
